The chick finally walks out from the nest either on the 4th or 5th May. On the 6th, before driving to the Lost World of Tambun I went in to check for a brief moment. The chick was already 3 branches high up away from the nest. Female was resting opposite side facing the chick.
The fledgling is approx. 6-7 weeks old. It was a big relieved for me when I saw the chick has a pair of normal ‘golden’ eye. The young juv. will stay with parents for about 2-3 months before leaving for independent.
