1st day fledgling – Blue Whistling Thrush

Species : Blue Whistling Thrush (Myiophoneus caeruleus) – young flegling
Location: Kek Look Tong, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia
Habitat : Limestone hill
Date : 03/02/13

Remark – First day fledgling. The chick flew down to the cemented floor instead of flying up to rest on the rock surface. Parents have to come down and took them more than an hour to ‘climb’ their chick higher up on the rock surface to be hidden to prevent other predators.
